Sporting Kansas City announced on Saturday that is has loaned defender Amadou Dia to the Swope Park Rangers ahead of this weekend’s match against Seattle Sounders FC 2. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on Sunday at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Washington and can be seen live on SportingKC.com.
Dia has made 32 regular season appearances since Sporting KC selected him with the 20th overall pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. The 23-year-old defender has featured in 10 matches this season with nine starts.
Dia is the sixth Sporting KC player to be loaned to USL affiliate Swope Park Rangers this year. Goalkeeper Jon Kempin is the only other first team player currently on loan to the club.
