Sporting Kansas City has loaned 19-year-old forward Daniel Salloi to Vasas SC in Hungary for the remainder of 2016, the club announced Wednesday.
Salloi signed for Sporting Kansas City as a Homegrown Player in January and has recorded four goals and three assists in 10 games this season while on loan with the Swope Park Rangers in the United Soccer League.
Vasas SC, a six-time Hungarian league champion, begins its 2016-17 season in the top-flight OTP Bank Liga in July.
A native of Budapest, Hungary, Salloi moved to the United States in August 2014 and joined the Sporting Kansas City Academy U-18s for the 2014-15 season, netting a team-high 21 goals in 28 appearances. He then returned to Hungary last July to sign an amateur contract for Ujpest FC, where he tallied seven goals and four assists in 16 matches across all competitions.
