BUNBURY CONCLUDES CAMP IN COSTA RICA
Sporting KC Academy member Mataeo Bunbury was called up the Canada Under-20 Men's National Team and will play Costa Rica on Thursday in a friendly as the Canada U-20's prepare for the 2022 Concacaf Men's Under-20 Championship this summer. Bunbury joined the Sporting KC Academy in 2020 and scored for Sporting KC II earlier this month.
U.S. OPEN CUP ROUND OF 32 DRAW ON THURSDAY
On Thursday, U.S. Soccer will conduct the official draw for the 2022 U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 which will feature Sporting Kansas City's opening match in the competition. The third round of U.S. Soccer's national championship will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday before Thursday's draw determines the match-ups and locations for the Round of 32 on May 10 and May 11. The draw will take place at 11 a.m. CT and will be streamed live on U.S. Soccer's YouTube Channel and the @OpenCup Twitter account.
SKC ACADEMY CONTINUES MLS NEXT CAMPAIGNS
The Sporting Kansas City Academy U-14's, U-15's and U-17's will continue their MLS NEXT campaigns this weekend at Swope Soccer Village. The U-14's will host the Houston Dynamo at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday, while the U-15's and U-17's will host Austin FC at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday.
