Saturday's showdown with Nashville SC, whose roster features two-time MLS Defender of the Year Walker Zimmerman as well as former Sporting KC strikers C.J. Fan voting is open online until 11:59 p.m. CT on Friday for the 2022 Sporting Legends inductee. Established in 2013, the Sporting Legends hall of honor pays tribute to club icons and provides a platform for inductees to reconnect with the Kansas City soccer community on an annual basis.
PETER RABBIT 2 + EGG SCRAMBLE AT CHILDREN'S MERCY PARK
On Sunday, Sporting Club Special Events will welcome fans to Children's Mercy Park for a free showing of Peter Rabbit 2 as part of the Movies at the Park series followed by an Egg Scramble for children 12 and under. Gates will open at 11 a.m. CT with the movie starting at 11:30 a.m. CT. The Egg Scramble is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. CT and a pre-purchased ticket is required.
SKC ACADEMY TO KICK OFF GA CUP
The Sporting Kansas City Academy U15's and U17's will travel to Texas this week for the 2022 Generation adidas Cup . The U15's will compete in Group A and will open the competition against Seattle Sounders FC at 8 p.m. CT on Saturday before taking on Austin FC at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday. The U17's are placed in Group F and will kick off their GA Cup run against Inter Miami CF at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Sporting Kansas City Academy U14's will continue their MLS NEXT campaign on Saturday against the Colorado Rapids.
