Accessibility at Children's Mercy Park
Children's Mercy Park provides a wide range of accommodations for all guests, including those with special needs and disabilities, to ensure that all patrons can enjoy the events held at our facility.
Animals
Guide, signal and service dogs are allowed inside Children's Mercy Park with fans that need their assistance. No pets or other animals are permitted. Animals whose sole function is to provide emotional support are not recognized as service animals.
Service animals can be excluded from entering Children's Mercy Park for two reasons: if the animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it, or if the animal is not housebroken.
Communication Boards
Communication boards are available at both First Aid stations on the concourse. These boards can aid engagement between kids, parents, caregivers, stadium associates, and between fans speaking different languages.
Headphones
Eight hearing-impaired headphone sets are located at Guest Services, which can be found along the main concourse at sections 101 and 132.
Mobility Devices
Wheelchairs can be provided when guests request them. Guests can go to the Fan Service kiosks at 101 and 132, as well as the concierge desks within the premium tower. Canes are allowed. Electric wheelchairs are not permitted unless necessary to accommodate an attendee.
Parking
ADA Parking for all Children's Mercy Park events is located in the Nebraska Furniture Mart parking lot across from the stadium along Village West Parkway. An accessible shuttle runs continuously between this lot and the stadium's North Premium entrance. All vehicles with an accessible parking permit will have access to ADA parking.
Restrooms
There are 32 public restrooms located throughout Children's Mercy Park which are ADA accessible and equipped with a baby-changing station. All family restrooms on the concourse are equipped with universal changing stations for infants and adults. Please ask any staff member for directions to the closest restroom.
Seating
ADA seating is located on all levels at Children's Mercy Park. All levels can be accessed by the elevators, ramps and walkways located near the stadium entrance locations.
If a wheelchair user exchanges ticket for a wheelchair-accessible location, Children's Mercy Park staff will make a concerted effort to place the wheelchair user in the closest or most comparable location to the original ticket. This exchange process is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there is no guarantee that wheelchair seat spaces will be available on the day of the event.
Variety KC Sensory Kits
Variety KC Sensory Kits are available for check-out at in the sensory room and Guest Experience kiosks. Each kit contains noise-reducing headphones, a weighted lap pad, and sensory toys.
Variety KC Sensory Room
Fans are welcome to use the Variety KC Sensory Room located on the east side of the stadium. Please contact a Fan Service associate to be escorted to the room. This space offers comfortable seating, a TV to watch the match, sensory toys, dimmed lights, water features, and electrical wall outlets.
