Following an eighth-place finish in eMLS League Series One last month, Sporting Kansas City eMLS representative Alekzandur will kick off qualifying this week for eMLS League Series Two.
Alekzandur will play 12 qualifying matches against other eMLS competitors over the next eight days with hopes of advancing to the eMLS League Series Two final tournament, which is scheduled for Feb. 13-14 with live streaming on the official MLS Twitch and Twitter pages plus MLSsoccer.com and the free MLS app.
The top eight contestants during the qualifying round will progress to the eMLS League Series Two finals. Alekzandur took the eighth and final qualifying spot in League Series One, falling to top-seeded xbLeU of Austin FC in the quarterfinals on Jan. 16.
With a prize pool of $15,000 up for grabs in League Series Two, EA SPORTS FIFA 21 matches will be played exclusively on PlayStation 4.
League Series One and League Series Two serve as precursors to the main event on the 2021 eMLS schedule, with eMLS Cup presented by Coca-Cola slated for March 20-21.
