Sporting Kansas City (8-8-4, 28 points) carries a five-game unbeaten streak into Wednesday's road match at the Chicago Fire (3-8-5, 14 points). The longtime rivals will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT with three hours of live television coverage from Toyota Park beginning at 7 p.m. CT on 38 The Spot and SKCTV. The interconference tilt will also air live on 99.3 FM and La Grande 1340 AM.


After struggling for most of April and May, Sporting Kansas CIty has returned from the Copa America break with newfound momentum. The club has won three of its last four league games, including a pair of three-goal victories over the last 10 days. Greeting Peter Vermes' men on Wednesday are the Chicago Fire, who have lost just one of their last seven home games despite sitting at the bottom of the Supporters' Shield standings. We take a statistical look at the showdown in our By The Numbers preview...
