Two teams near the top of their respective conferences square off Saturday as Sporting Kansas City (5-2-3, 18 points) visits Orlando City SC (6-3-0, 18 points) for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff on FOX Sports Kansas City Plus, FOX Sports Midwest Plus, ESPN 99.3 FM and La Grande 1340 AM.


No team has more clean sheets away from home than Sporting Kansas City's three, but Peter Vermes' men could be facing their toughest road test of 2017. Head-to-head


  • The sides last met in May 2016 at Children's Mercy Park when Sporting KC earned a 2-1 comeback win behind goals from Dom Dwyer and Jacob Peterson.
  • Sporting KC outshot Orlando 34-7 in the most recent meeting, finishing with 13 shots on goal while limiting the Lions to zero shots on target. The 34 shot attempts set an all-time Kansas City record and were the third-most in a regular season match in MLS history.
  • Orlando won the inaugural MLS meeting between the sides in September 2015, claiming a 3-1 victory at Camping World Stadium. In that match, Benny Feilhaber set a Kansas City record with his 19th assist of the season in all competitions.
  • The teams met twice in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup when Orlando was previously a member of the United Soccer League.
