Thoughts on his team's performance...
“I felt that in the midfield we needed to be a little bit better. We got a little bit tired because we were chasing and forcing the ball a lot in the first half. We had some good moments in transition, but I think that when it wasn’t on, we should have kept it a little bit better.”

“If you look at both last games, it was the same thing. I don’t know how we find ways to lose games like this. Sometimes some breaks are not going our way right now, it’s a difficult one. I feel bad for the guys but it is my responsibility to find solutions.”
On the three meetings against Sporting KC this season...
“I knew this was going to be a different game than the other ones and it was. It wasn’t easy, but I felt there were still moments where, even though we didn’t possess the ball well as well as we could have, we had our moments and we should have walked away with points.”

“In the end, there was nothing that suggested that we would have lost at the end. I think both sides were a bit tired, but we conceded a goal that I thought was a bit of a gift.”

“In an ideal situation, the ball should have been cleared so he wouldn’t have turned with it. But, it happens and just the way it was, it was a mess from the beginning.”

“I think there were times that we out played them. We need to be a little sharper in the final third and maybe we walk away with a point. We just need to start believing in ourselves a little more and it’s going to come.”

“Our objective is that we think we have the responsibility to go on the road and play. We don’t buy into the whole ‘sit back, bunker in and see if you can get one on the counter’. I think it’s important for the fans. I think they got to see some entertainment, but at the same time you still have to be able to get results.”
On Dom Dwyer scoring a brace and recent performances...
“He is a handful. He’s got a work ethic that is incredible and at the same time an incredible hunger to score goals. He really doesn’t stop until you take him off the field. His hunger and his courage are two things that win the day for him.”

“I thought we were very good all day long. I think getting the three points was definitely deserved. I thought we had a good run of the play for most of the game. I thought the first 25 we were excellent and in the second half I thought we were very good too.”

“We wanted to come out fast and get an early goal. That’s what we did and it went to plan. I think we controlled the game for a bit. Obviously they got a nice goal and then it was a bit even from there.”

“We had chances today. I think we played very well, played very professional and we should have probably scored a couple more goals. It was nice to score a couple of goals and most importantly we got three points.”

“Everyone was in-tune the whole time. It’s one of those things where if you just fall asleep for a minute, those guys will make the smartest runs and they’ll find them. We did a great job the entire game limiting their opportunities.”

“Obviously you want to win your home games, but if you can steal points on the road, it’s going to make your season. We have to take care of business each night, we have to be on and if we play our game we can go anywhere and win.”
