Sporting Kansas City on Monday unveiled the club's new adidas Parley jersey, on sale Friday at Children's Mercy Park when Manager Peter Vermes' men host Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 8 p.m. CT.
The Parley jersey is also available for pre-order at SportingStyle.com, where fans can purchase the jersey online and pick it up Friday at the stadium. All pre-orders placed before noon on Thursday will be available for pickup at the SportingStyle store on the Toyota Plaza beginning at 6 p.m. CT on Friday.
In addition, all individuals who place a pre-order will be entered to win a pair of adidas Ultraboost Parley shoes.
With Earth Day approaching this Sunday, April 22, MLS WORKS is hosting its third annual Greener Goals Week of Service. League-wide efforts are being executed and off the pitch to highlight Major League Soccer’s commitment to environmental sustainability, with MLS club and staff members volunteering their time with local charitable organizations and other green initiatives being promoted throughout the week across MLS social and digital channels.
In conjunction with Greener Goals Week of Service, MLS has collaborated with adidas to support Parley for the Oceans. In all Week 8 matches, MLS players will wear special adidas kits, built of technical yarns made using Parley Ocean Plastic™.
Sporting KC (4-1-2, 14 points) will wear their Parley jersey Friday against the Whitecaps (3-3-1, 10 points) as the Western Conference leaders look to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches. Tickets for the match are available via SeatGeek.com, and the first 10,000 fans through the stadium gates will receive a Tim Melia bobblehead courtesy of match sponsor Mark One Electric.
