Sporting Kansas City Vice President Andrea Kimball was recently featured in Ingram's Magazine as one of the top Women Executives in Kansas City. Kimball, the club's General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer, was recognized among 16 high-achieving local leaders in this year's WeKC Class honored for executive excellence within their organizations and significant contributions to the Kansas City region overall.

Kimball joined Sporting in April 2016 with 20 years of experience in entertainment and sports law, having represented companies and celebrities in a wide range of business and IP disputes. She was a Dentons U.S. LLPÂ partner at the Kansas City office for six years, specializing in complex commercial litigation and intellectual property. Kimball was a partner at Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps in San Diego from 1999-2010 after serving a two-year judicial clerkship with the United States District Court in the same city.
Kimball has earned several recognitions during her career and was named to the Legal 500 in 2015 as a Top Employee Benefits / ERISA Litigation Attorney and as a US IP Star by Managing Intellectual Property. She was a three-time California State Pro Bono Award winner, a two time Top Attorneys of San Diego finalist, and received a Missouri Rising Star Award from Superlawyers in 2014.
Outside of Sporting Kansas City, Kimball is actively involved in the local community through a variety of activities. She is an Advisory Board Member at WIN for KC, an affiliate of the Kansas City Sports Commission, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the LGBTQ Bar Association of Greater Kansas City.
A University of Toledo College of Law graduate in 1997, Kimball majored in Business and Political Science as an undergraduate at Western Michigan University. She also played four years of college basketball, one year of college softball and was named the university’s top female scholar athlete. Following college, Kimball played basketball in the inaugural season of the NWBL in San Diego.
