Sporting Kansas City welcomed a familiar face back this week when Soony Saad re-signed with the club after a two-year stint in Thailand. The 24-year-old striker spent three-and-a-half years with Sporting KC, tallying eight goals and six assists in 58 regular season matches.
Sporting Kansas City first acquired Saad via lottery draft on July 5. The U.S. youth international made his club debut on July 20, during a friendly with Newcastle United and scored nine minutes into his MLS debut during a 3-1 win over the Portland Timbers on August 17, marking his 19th birthday.
