TheStadiumBusiness Awards announced its finalists for the 2014 awards on Monday and Sporting Kansas City's official mobile app made the shortlist for the Product Innovation category. Uphoria, designed by Sporting Innovations, is the fan-facing mobile component of the Sporting Innovations FAN360 fan engagement platform. It is a mobile experience that has revolutionized the way fans consume live sporting events.
Uphoria provides a number of features that make it a fan’s invaluable mobile companion for game days including:
• On-demand replays from multiple camera angles with Playback
• Live video stream from multiple camera angles that allows in-venue fans to watch, pause, and rewind video of the match
• Live stats and play-by-play
• Touch maps visualizing the impact players are having on the match
• Lineups and bios
• Standings and rosters
• Exclusive content about the team and upcoming events
• Social media sharing
• Venue maps including entry points, concessions, merchandise, restrooms, and ATMs
• Directions and parking information
While fans enjoy a better in-game experience with Uphoria, it’s specifically designed to capture fan’s relevant information and interactions with features and content. This data is captured within the FAN360 platform which allows teams to use the information to provide more personalized and contextually-relevant experiences to fans to enhance their overall experience.
TheStadiumBusiness Awards were launched in 2010 in order to recognize achievement, innovation, fresh thinking and the leaders in the world of stadium, arena, and sports venue management; raise industry standards and encourage greater professionalism; and drive awareness of the stadium, arena, and sports venue sector.
In 2012, Sporting Club received four accolades from TheStadiumBusiness Awards: Venue of the Year (Sporting Park), Executive of the Year (Robb Heineman), Product Innovation Award (FAN360) and Community Award (Sporting Park).
This year's winners will be announced on June 4 at TheStadiumBusiness Awards 2014 Gala Evening in London.
