Tuesday, May 12: Sporting Game Night presented by Ivy Investments
Hosted by longtime Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber, Episode 3 of Sporting Game Night presented by Ivy Investments will debut Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT on SportingKC.com. Former Sporting greats Davy Arnaud, Jimmy Conrad, Nick Garcia and Jack Jewsbury will test their knowledge and battle for bragging rights as Feilhaber poses a variety of trivia questions across several categories.
Tuesday, May 12: Sporting KC Show on Sports Radio 810 WHB
A new episode of the Sporting Kansas City Show will debut at 7 p.m. CT Tuesday on Sports Radio 810 WHB as hosts Nate Bukaty, Carter Augustine and Aly Trost welcome eMLS Tournament Special stars Wan Kuzain and Alekzandur, reflect on the latest news surrounding MLS and look back at some of the best moments in club history. The Sporting Kansas City Show is available on several podcast hubs including Spotify and iTunes as well as YouTube and SportingKC.com/SportingKCShow.
Wednesday, May 13: "For the Cheers" presented by Michelob Ultra
The newest episode of "For The Cheers" presented by Michelob Ultra will debut at noon CT Wednesday on SportingKC.com as Carter Augustine catches up with club legend Kerry Zavagnin, who has spent each of the last 21 MLS seasons with Kansas City as either a player or a coach. The former midfielder and current assistant will reflect on the top moments of his storied career, highlighted by two MLS Cups, four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cups and a Supporters' Shield title.
Thursday, May 14: Sporting at Real Salt Lake from July 20, 2013 (MLSsoccer.com)
As part of MLS Rivalry Week, a classic regular season match between Sporting and Real Salt Lake from July 20, 2013, will stream at 3 p.m. CT Thursday on MLSsoccer.com. Squaring off against a formidable RSL side at Rio Tinto Stadium, Sporting fell behind before equalizing in the 67th minute through Soony Saad. That set the stage for one of the wildest endings in club regular season history as defender Ike Opara delivered last-gasp heroics.
Thursday, May 14: Sporting vs. Saint Louis FC from June 16, 2015 (SportingKC.com)
At 7 p.m. CT Thursday, SportingKC.com will amplify the Rivalry Week theme with a stream of the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup contest between Sporting and Saint Louis FC at Children's Mercy Park. In the inaugural meeting between the regional foes, Sporting edged past their second-division counterparts en route to the 2015 Open Cup title.
Saturday, May 16: FIFA 20 matchup presented by University of St. Mary
At 1 p.m. CT Saturday, Sporting eMLS player Alekzandur will lock horns with Philadelphia Union eMLS player CisseSZN in a FIFA 20 series presented by the University of St. Mary. The matchup will stream on Twitch.tv/eSportingKC as well as Sporting's social media platforms.
Saturday, May 16: 2013 MLS Cup Playoffs (FOX Sports KC & FOX Sports GO)
Sporting’s epic postseason run to the 2013 MLS Cup championship will re-air Saturday and Sunday on FOX Sports Kansas City and FOX Sports GO, featuring second-screen commentary from club greats Matt Besler, Benny Feilhaber and Jimmy Nielsen alongside the voice of Sporting, Nate Bukaty.
The postseason run will begin at 7 p.m. CT Saturday with Sporting’s extra-time win against New England in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Facing a 2-1 deficit going into the decisive second leg, Sporting prevailed 3-1 behind goals from Aurelien Collin, Seth Sinovic and Claudio Bieler to claim a 4-3 aggregate victory.
The second leg of the 2013 Eastern Conference Championship will immediately follow at 9 p.m. CT Saturday with second-screen commentary from Feilhaber, a retired fan favorite and U.S. international midfielder who recorded the game-winning assist to help Sporting defeat rivals Houston Dynamo by a 2-1 scoreline.
Sunday, May 17: eMLS Tournament Special Finals (FS1 & FOX Sports app)
The championship episode of the eMLS Tournament Special will air at 5 p.m. CT Sunday on FS1 and the FOX Sports app as Sporting midfielder Wan Kuzain and eMLS player Alekzandur play for the title in a FIFA 20 competition benefiting Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. The Sporting duo will face LAFC forward Adama Diomande and eMLS player RemiMartinn in the semifinals, with the victor advancing to the finals to face either Atlanta United FC or New York City FC later that night.
Sunday, May 17: 2013 MLS Cup Playoffs (FOX Sports KC & FOX Sports GO)
At 8 p.m. CT Sunday, current Sporting captain Matt Besler will join former captain and legendary goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen for commentary of the unforgettable 2013 MLS Cup against Real Salt Lake on FOX Sports Kansas City and FOX Sports GO. In one of the coldest and most iconic MLS matches ever played, the clubs battled to a 1-1 draw through regulation before Sporting prevailed in a 10-round penalty shootout at Children's Mercy Park.
