2019: USL Championship Started eight of 14 appearances recording one goal (766 minutes played). Scored the second goal of the game against Louisville City FC after a weather delay stopped the game in its tracks on May 6.
2018: Signed for the Rangers in midseason, going on to make 13 appearances and recording two assists for the club as the side made the USL Cup Playoffs for the third successive season. Akhmatov made his debut for the Rangers on August 11 against Portland Timbers 2, before recording his first assist in a 2-0 home win against San Antonio FC on Sept. 19. He started both matches for the Rangers in the postseason, recording the game-winning assist in the come-from-behind upset victory over Sacramento Republic FC in the Western Conference Quarterfinals on Oct. 20.
Before USL: Akhmatov spent the summers of 2017 and 2018 with USL Premier Development League side FC Miami City. Akhmatov spent time with FR Haguenau’s Academy in France until the age of 18, before moving on to fellow French side FCSR Obernai. During Obernai’s offseason, Akhmatov spent his first season with FC Miami City in 2017 before returning to France and joining ASP Vauban Strasbourg for the 2017-18 season. From there, he once again linked up with Miami City at the conclusion of ASP Vauban’s season and spent the 2018 USL PDL season with the club, tallying two goals and an assist in 10 appearances.
