Swope Park Rangers forward Kris Tyrpak has been nominated for USL Goal of the Week after his stunning left-footed strike against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Saturday.
The 24-year-old cut inside from the right wing before hitting a powerful drive from 30 yards out that nestled into the top corner, making the score 2-0 in the 32nd minute of the Rangers' 3-0 victory over the Roughnecks.
Tyrpak's five goals this season places him in second on the team, while he has also added one assist in the Rangers' inaugural campaign.
The Swope Park Rangers are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 18 when they face Jimmy Nielsen and OKC Energy FC at Taft Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and a live stream will be available on SportingKC.com.
