Sporting Kansas City announced today five new concession stand concepts at Children’s Mercy Park, continuing a significant food and beverage refresh that has already seen local-based club partners BRGR, Taco Republic, Parisi Coffee and Port Fonda unveiled as highly anticipated stadium additions ahead of the 2020 MLS season.
The five original concession stand concepts are located throughout the main stadium concourse—featuring unique themes, bold flavors and distinct signage—and will debut at Sporting Kansas City’s home opener on March 7 when the Houston Dynamo visit for a 7:30 p.m. CT kickoff.
Brat & Brau – Section 101
- The Frankfurter – Sauerkraut, beer cheese and caramelized onion on a pretzel bun
- Brat-chos – Nachos topped with sliced bratwurst, sauerkraut, beer cheese and caramelized onion
- Brauhaus Giant Pretzel – served with beer cheese and craft mustards
Kickin’ Chicken – Section 114
- Kickin’ Chicken + Curly Fries – a signature crispy chicken sandwich with fried pickles and moonshine sweet and spicy sauce on a biscuit
- Popcorn Chicken Basket – morsels of bite-sized fried chicken served with curly fries

Sporting will continue to announce more information about new partners, concession upgrades, stadium technology improvements and premium space renovations in the coming weeks.
Celebrating the team’s 25th season as a charter member of Major League Soccer, Sporting will kick off the 2020 MLS campaign on Feb. 29 at Vancouver Whitecaps FC before hosting rivals Houston Dynamo in the club’s home opener on March 7.
