Sporting Kansas City fans are invited to attend a season-opening outdoor watch party on Saturday, April 17, at Children’s Mercy Park when the club hosts the Season Kickoff presented by Michelob Ultra.
Supporters can secure their free ticket to the Season Kickoff via SeatGeek.com or the SeatGeek app. Stadium gates will open at 5:30 p.m. CT ahead of a highly anticipated 7 p.m. CT kickoff between Sporting and the New York Red Bulls. The watch party will utilize distanced outdoor seating in the stadium bowl with the match shown on the north and south videoboards. Face coverings will be mandatory for all in attendance.
During the event, supporters will have the opportunity to purchase food, beverages and new Sporting Kansas City merchandise at select concessions and SportingStyle locations inside Children’s Mercy Park, with mobile ordering available on the Sporting KC app. Fans can park for free in the Red Lot east of the stadium.
The Season Kickoff will offer an added benefit to Season Ticket Members, who will have the chance to pick up their 2021 STM gift packages for the first time at the event. STM pickup will take place on the Mazuma Plaza and gift packages will include a complimentary copy of "One Club: The First 25 Years of Major League Soccer in Kansas City," a commemorative book that tells the definitive tale of Sporting with stories from players, coaches and supporters who shaped the course of soccer in the city.
"One Club," a 208-page hardback book that chronicles the modest beginnings and meteoric rise of Sporting through the lens of club legends and passionate fans alike, will be released to the general public later this year at select retailers. Fans can fill out this form to be notified when the book becomes available.
After visiting the Red Bulls, Sporting will return to Children’s Mercy Park for a marquee home opener against Orlando City SC at 6:30 p.m. CT on Friday, April 23. Tickets for the club’s first four home matches through the end of May are available to the general public at SeatGeek.com while supplies last.
