Sporting Kansas City will join 13 other MLS clubs, along with six clubs from the NWSL, for preseason matches, training sessions and organizational meetings as part of the 2025 Coachella Valley Invitational (CVI) taking place in February at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.
“We are extremely excited to be a part of the Coachella Valley Invitational in 2025,” said Sporting Kansas City Manager Peter Vermes. “First and foremost, the facilities are excellent and more importantly the level of competition that we’re being provided each game will help us tremendously as we prepare for the Concacaf Champions Cup and the upcoming MLS season. Finally, having the ability to play teams from across the country, not just the West Coast, is a huge plus as well.”
Tickets for Coachella Valley Invitational matches go on sale Wednesday, Dec. 18 at CoachellaValleyInvitational.com. Sporting KC fans can purchase discounted day passes, which include parking, for the club’s two preseason exhibitions at the event on Wednesday, Feb. 5 against New York City FC (3 p.m. PT) and Sunday, Feb. 9 versus Minnesota United FC (11:30 a.m. PT).
