Sporting Kansas City heads into its final week of preseason training in Phoenix, Arizona with a few changes to the club’s preseason roster.
Two 16-year-old Sporting KC Academy forwards Braxton Arpachinda and Mataeo Bunbury have linked up with the team, while Academy goalkeeper Matthew Hudson, defender Michael Lenis and midfielder Jayvin Van Deventer have returned to Kansas City.
Sporting awaits the arrival of recent international signings Marinos Tzionis and Nikola Vujnovic as the pair work through the visa process.

Led by Manager Peter Vermes and captain Johnny Russell, Sporting will begin the team's 27th season on Sunday, Feb. 27 against Atlanta United FC inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the earliest regular season match in club history airing live on FS1. The club's highly anticipated home opener then arrives on Saturday, March 5 against longtime rivals Houston Dynamo FC with kick off at Children's Mercy Park set for 2:30 p.m. CT on Univision.
